Greaves Motorsport signs Julien Canal

Greaves Motorsport has signed the Frenchman Julien Canal.

Canal will drive the team’s brand new Nissan-powered Ligier JS P2, and will do the ELMS season with Memo Rojas. The 3rd driver will be announced in due course.

Therefore it’s a big change for the ELMS championship winning team on nearly all fronts, but will keep the Dunlop tyres – and we still don’t know the name of the 3rd driver either.

The team has at least one car guaranteed for the Le Mans race, where Canal and Rojas will be in car 41, while Alex Brundle is in the 45 car, which is currently the first reserve on the reserve list. That car is the Gibson 015S Nissan that won the ELMS title in 2015.

Canal won the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMP2 drivers in FIA WEC in 2015 with G-Drive, but is now looking towards ELMS instead.
