MG Triple Eight Racing has announced their driver line up for BTCC 2016
It’s going to be the 2 young drivers, Josh Cook and Ashley Sutton, who will pilot the team’s two MG6 racers.
Cook finished as runner up in Renault UK Clio Cup in 2014 and moved on to BTCC in 2015 where he won the Jack Sears Trophy. That trophy is awarded to the driver who gains the most spots in the race during all the 30 races of the season – and he even took the title very convincingly.
Sutton raced in Formula Ford in 2014, before he moved to Renault UK Clio Cup in 2015, where he took the title.
MG has recently announced a new 3 year deal with Triple Eight Racing, but the team hasn’t announced if these 2 drivers are a part of the plans for all 3 years.
