Andreas Bakkerud wins in Sweden

Andreas Bakkerud won the 6th round of FIA World Rallycross Championship in Höljes, Sweden.

The Norwegian demoted Sebastien Loeb into 2nd position while Timmy Hansen finished 3rd.

There was plenty of deficulties for the 110 competitors in Supercars, since saturday was full of rain and the sunday started likewise but dried at the end. That certainly pleased the 44.440 spectators there.

Once more we saw Mattias Ekström in the finale, but he got technical problems so he only completed the final in 6th position. But since Petter Solberg wasn’t in the finale, he could still maintain his 5 points lead in the championship.

Those 2 drivers are quite a bit ahead of Bakkerud in 3rd, but he has gained a lot during this and the previous round, which he won at his hometrack in Hell.

Next round of the FIA World Rallycross Championship will be held in Trois Riviers in Quebec, Canada on August 5th-7th.
