Felix Rosenqvist has been announced as a new driver at Mahindra Racing.
The Swede, who had his debut at DTM driver last weekend, will participate for the team together with Nick Heidfeld in Mahindra Racing’s M3Electro Formula E car in the 2016/17 season.

The team has been a part of the Formula E Championship since it started 2 years ago. Back then the line up consisted of Bruno Senna and Karun Chandhok. For season 2 we saw Chandhok being replaced by Nick Heidfeld, who will now be the well-known face within the team, while Rosenqvist is a brand new face in the Formula E world.
The Swede has won both the Formula Renault 2.0 Sweden/NEZ championships and the FIA Formula 3 European Championship in last season.
Nick Heidfeld is mostly known as a Formula 1 driver, but has since then participated in FIA WEC, where he is driving for Rebellion Racing. He was a part of the winning team at Le Mans in this year, but won’t compete for them for the rest of the season, since the team will only participate with one car for the remaining races. Because of that, he can now have full focus on the Formula E season ahead.
The FIA Formula E Championship season starts in Hong Kong on October 9th.
