At least 34 cars for ADAC GT Masters 2017

ADAC GT Masters already has 34 entries for the 2017 season

18 teams are so far ready with two cars each, and that’s a big expansion compared to 2016, where we saw a total of 25 cars throughout the season.

The series promises that these 18 teams will enter a minimum of seven different constructors. That means that so far one team is missing compared to last season, where we had eight different brands on the grid. But they still have time to enter the series.

There were a lot of debates about BOP throughout the season, which meant that a lot of Audi teams stayed home in the garages. But at the end it was still an Audi R8 LMS for team Montaplast by Land-Motorsport that won the championship.

There has been a slight calendar change compared to the one that was anonnunced one month ago. Zandvoort has been moved back a week, so it doesn’t collide with the FIA WEC race at Nürburgring – but instead clashes with the ELMS at Red Bull Ring.

The series can be followed on German free-tv channel Sport1 plus through live streaming like in previous seasons.

The calendar is as follows (subject to change):

28/04/17 – 30/04/17 Motorsport Arena Oschersleben
19/05/17 – 21/05/17 Motorsport Festival Lausitzring (together with the DTM)
09/06/17 – 11/06/17 Red Bull Ring, Spielberg, Austria
21/07/17 – 23/07/17  Circuit Park Zandvoort, Netherlands
04/08/17 – 06/08/17 Nürburgring
15/09/17 – 17/09/17 Sachsenring
22/09/17 – 24/09/17 Hockenheimring
