KÜS Team75 Bernhard ready with two Porsche cars

The German KÜS Team75 Bernhard team double up and is ready with 2 Porsche 911 GT3 R cars for ADAC GT Masters 2017.

The team, which was founded by Timo Bernhard in 2010, has already signed their first two drivers. Car number 17 will be driven by Michael Ammermüller and Mathieu Jaminet, while the drivers in the second car will be announced at a later stage.

Both drivers have been driving Porsches for many years, where they both have been at the absolute top of Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.

Ammermüller had a very promising single-seater career lined up and was under the Red Bull wings in their Junior programme. Even though he claimed victories in both GP2 and A1GP, Red Bull opted to skip him, and instead he chose to look after some closed cars from Stuttgart. More than once he has claimed championship medals in Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup but hasn’t claimed any of Gold yet.

Jaminet is a current driver in the Porsche Junior programme and has already proven his capabilities. He finished 3rd in Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup in his rookie season in 2016, but already had plenty of knowledge from Porsche Carrera Cup France and the FFSA GT Championship in France. With the speed that he has already shown, Porsche has high hopes for him in the future.

Team boss Klaus Graf, who himself is a former Porsche driver explains: “Lining up with two Porsche 911 GT3 Rs in the ADAC GT Masters 2017 is the next logical step for KÜS Team75 Bernhard. We have a perfect driver combo in Mathieu Jaminet and Michael Ammermüller. Michael has impressed us with his way of working and his professionalism. He has everything we expect from a racing driver. Mathieu is a diamond in the raw from the Porsche Academy. His promotion to Young Professional and his success in Porsche one-make cups prove that he’s the right choice.”

The ADAC GT Masters season starts on the final weekend of April at Oschersleben.
