G-Drive Racing ready with two ELMS drivers

G-Drive Racing has announced two out of three drivers in the European Le Mans Series line-up.

It will be run by the Dragonspeed team, who will keep the car number 22 running mechanically, where Memo Rojas and Ryo Hirakawa will be behind the wheel. They will have a third driver behind the wheel too, and the driver will have a silver ranking, but that name hasn’t been announced yet.

Memo Rojas drove for Greaves Motorsport in ELMS during the 2016 season, but he has previously done Grand Am for many years. The 35 year-old driver with Gold rating has TELMEX and telcel as sponsors, which are quite visible on the car.

Hirakawa is part of the Toyota Young Drivers Programme and expected to be in the 3rd Toyota LMP1 race at Le Mans in 2017. Through the 2016 season he was driving ELMS at the TDS by Thiriet team. He showed impressive speed, so depending on who will be their teammate as the third driver, it can be a very strong combination.
