BWT Mücke Motorsport will enter ADAC GT Masters 2017 with three cars. They will also drive in ADAC Formula 4, Italian Formula 4, and FIA Formula 3 European Championship, though it is yet to be announced how many cars they’ll come with.
After 12 seasons in DTM, we will see Mücke Motorsport in a different part of the sport, after DTM teams cut back on the numbers of cars. So GT racing it is this year.
The team will enter a Mercedes-AMG GT3 and two Audi R8 LMS cars. The Mercedes and one of the Audi’s will be in the pink colour that the DTM cars previously were, while the last Audi will be in orange kfzteile24 colour.
They will need six drivers for the three ADAC GT Masters cars, and so far the team is ready to announce one driver. That is Mike David Ortmann, who has been driving for Mücke Motorsport since 2015 in their ADAC Formula 4 programme. The 17 year-old race driver already knows all the tracks on the ADAC GT Masters calendar, since it’s the same circuits as the ADAC Formula 4 calendar. He finished second in the Rookie Championship in 2015 and took third place in the overall Championship in 2016. Now he is ready to take the jump straight into the GT sport.
In fact we already had the news about his move into ADAC GT Masters back in December – read more about him here.
The rest of the Mücke Motorsport line-ups will be announced shortly.
The ADAC GT Masters and ADAC Formula 4 seasons starts on the last weekend of April in Oschersleben.
