GRT Grasser Racing enters two Lamborghini Huracan GT3 cars in ADAC GT Masters.
The Austrian team has Ezequiel Perez Companc and Mirko Bortolotti in car number 19, while Rolf Ineichen and Christian Engelhart will be behind the wheel of #63 car. Ineichen and Engelhart were teammates in 2016 too, where the pair took a win at the opening round in Oschersleben.
Team boss Gottfried Grasser has mentioned that a third car might be on the cards later in the season, but nothing is certain yet.
Companc isn’t so recognized yet, but his dad Luis Perez Companc is a well-known name in both WRC and WEC, where he has done several seasons. Junior has shown good speed himself by winning the Ferrari Challenge Europe in 2014 and one year later finish third in the International GT Open. In 2016 he had a few selected starts in Blancpain Endurance and Sprint Series. 2017 is the first year in a Lambo, but he has already participated for GT Grasser Racing in both Dubai and Daytona. Now it’s the German, Austrian and Dutch tracks that he will fight at in 2017.
Mirko Bortolotti is a Lamborghini works driver for many seasons and has done pretty much every race where a Lambo has been on the entry list.
Christian Engelhart has done numerous races in a Porsche Cup car but has lately raced other brands too, with Lambo amongst those. He is one of the universal drivers, who races pretty much every weekend throughout the year, somewhere in the world.
Rolf Ineichen has, like Engelhart, done plenty of Porsche Cup racing, but he went to the Italian brand in 2016. He is a triple winner of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland B-Class Championship, as well as winning the 24 Hours of Dubai overall in 2014.
GRT Grasser Racing and more than 30 other ADAC GT Masters cars will have their first race weekend in one and a half months’ time in Oschersleben.
