Leo Roussel will be the third driver in the G-Drive Racing car in the European Le Mans Series.
The DragonSpeed team, who will run the G-Drive Racing car in the ELMS in 2017, had already announced Memo Rojas and Ryo Hirakawa about a month ago, so now they are a complete team.
The brand new ORECA 07 Gibson with number 22 on the side will race alongside DragonSpeed’s own car with number 21. Henrik Hedman, Nicolas Lapierre, and Ben Hanley will continue as a pairing in that car, just like in 2016.
Roussel raced for the Pegasus team in 2016 in the ELMS and showed quite good speed, which unfortunately wasn’t replicated by his co-drivers. The 21 year-old driver still has plenty of things to learn, but it will happen naturally. If not before the season starts, then at least during the season.
Roussel, Rojas, and Hirakawa are all in the car when the ELMS Prologue will be run at Monza on March 28th-29th.
