Alex MacDowall and Klaus Bachler are the new drivers for bigFM Racing Team Schütz Motorsport in ADAC GT Masters.
Bachler played a part in securing 4th place in the overall Championship in 2016, while he had one start for the team in 2016. Bachler is what you call a real Porsche specialist. He has been driving the iconic cars since 2012 and done the 24 hour races at both Le Mans and Nürburgring and many other things for the brand.
Alex MacDowall has a touringcar background, where he has driven both BTCC and WTCC. The last few season have been in GT cars in championships like FIA WEC and ELMS. In 2016 he won the ELMS title with Beechdeam Aston Martin Racing in the GTE category. Now he want to participate in ADAC GT Masters.
The car will once again be a Porsche 911 GT3, for the team from Bobenheim/Roxheim near Stuttgart.
The team will show up in public for the first time this week, where ADAC GT Masters is running a collective test at Oschersleben, before the season starts in a little over two weeks’ time at the same track.
