Beechdean AMR announces their Le Mans drivers

Beechdean AMR has announced their 2017 Le Mans drivers.

The team runs in the ELMS season with team owner Andrew Howard, alongside Ross Gunn and Darren Turner. Turner is an Aston Martin Racing factory driver, and will be driving the AMR #97 during the 24 hour race. Opposite to the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, and other races too, it is not allowed to participate in more than one car. That means that he has to hand over the seat to Olly Bryant.

Bryant did compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2016 for Team AAI in a Corvette C7. They finished 9th in the GTE Am category, but it’s his personal aim to get a better result this year. But there are no less than 16 other GTE Am cars to battle with, so nothing is given. So far this year the Aston Martin Racing 2016 model has been the car to beat in both ELMS and WEC. That could potentially change for the Le Mans, depending on Balance Of Performance – but let’s not dig into that right now.

Howard, Gunn and Turner will already be back in the car this weekend, where round 2 of the ELMS 2017 will be run at Monza.
