Larbre Competition will participate at Le Mans with a Corvette C7-Z06.
Nothing unusual in that – the unusual thing will be the colours on the car.
Traditionally they drive with yellow and black colours, but this year they will have a very special painting. A so-called Art Car.
Fernando Rees, Romain Brandela, and Christian Philippon are the three drivers who will steer the potent race car around the French track.
The car not only has a special look in the day light, but also when the night time falls, it changes colour again.
So it will be very exciting to follow them through the Le Mans week. The car showed good pace at its first outing at the race tracks in 2017, when the team entered the ELMS round at Monza. It was the fastest car in class in the race, and especially Fernando Rees were well on top of the car. It was a bit more iffy with his co-drivers, who was 3 and 4,5 seconds slower than the Brazillian on the 5,793 kilometer long Monza track. If that continues at Le Mans, they won’t have a chance of a podium finish in the 16 car large GTE Am category.
