Tom Dillmann will take over the number four race car of Stéphane Sarrazin. Latter will be released from his Venturi deal to race for the Techeetah Formula E Team. The race seat at the Renault customer team became available as their driver Esteban Gutiérrez replaces the injured IndyCar driver Sébastien Bourdais.
Dillmann made his Formula E debut race in Paris last month and finished eighth, scoring important championship points for the team. “A positive solution for all those involved. With his experience, Stéphane will be embraced by Techeetah and at the same time, the season will offer Tom the chance of gathering further important experiences, with Venturi“, said Venturi Team Principal Gildo Pallanca Pastor.
This means that all the three Venturi joint drivers, Maro Engel, Stéphane Sarrazin and Tom Dillmann will contest the coming championship rounds in Berlin, New York and Montréal.
