Jonathan Hirschi and the rest of CEFC Manor TRS Racing #24 will have a hard time in tomorrow’s FIA WEC race at the Nürburgring.
There was a red flag during the second free practice on Friday. Under that red flag Hirschi hit Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK #66, which race control showed zero tolerance about.
Hirschi and his teammates Tor Graves and Roberto Merhi will have to come in and stop in the pitlane for 7 minutes during the race, as well as another suspended 7-minutes Stop & Go for Hirschi, if he commits another mistake under red flag, in the next three races.
It shows that the race control continues with their hard and strict line, as we saw at Le Mans when Roman Rusinov hit a competition, as well as drove in the wrong direction, and did an overtaking under yellow flag during the week. It also resulted in a 3-minutes Stop & Go, as well as a 3-minutes suspended sentence.
Today the WEC weekend continues with a free practice and the qualifying for tomorrow’s 6-hours race.
