Dennis Olsen took a start-to-finish victory when the 7th round of Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup was run at Spa Francorchamps.
The Norwegian Porshe junior driver got his second win this season, in a race where he beat Italian Mattia Drudi and German Michael Ammermüller.
Behind them there were more battles for the positions, where Matt Campbell lost a few places because he went too wide on turn one.
Drudi attempted an outbraking manouvre on Olsen at the end of the long Kemmel Straight on the first lap, but the Italian missed his braking point and had to give the position back.
Dan Cammish and Nick Yelloly had a close battle for the fourth position, before Yelloly made a mistake and Robert Lukas used it to his advantage.
Cammish pressed hard on Ammermüller over the last two laps but didn’t manage to drive past.
Mikkel O. Pedersen started from 15th and got a position up, so he finished the race in 14th. During the race he had a hard duel with Tom Sharp, where the two drivers knocked fenders through several corners.
The second race will be run on Sunday morning.
