Japanese team TKS returns to the Asian Le Mans Series, when round two of the 2017/18 Championship will be run next weekend at the Japanese Fuji track.
The TKS team won the GT Cup Championship in the Asian LMS 2016/17 season and has since then competed in the Asian Le Mans Series Sprint Cup over the summer months.
The team was present at Le Mans in June, when they were part of the Road To Le Mans race. They finished 21st in the first of the LMP3 races and advanced to a very good 10th position in the 33 car big field in the Saturday race.
Team owner and first driver for the team Shinyo Sano will once again drive the Ginetta LMP3 car, with a 5 litre Nissan Nismo V8 engine at the back. That is the first Ginetta this season, after a the opening round in Zhuhai only had Ligier LMP3 cars on the entry list.
The full entry list for the second round of the Asian LMS will be released in the upcoming days, ahead of the race being run on Sunday 3 December.
