Total new fuel supplier for ACO classes

Total will be the new fuel supplier for ACO classes.

The French fuel and lubricant company will replace Shell as the official supplier, who has had an exclusive contract since 2006.

The agreement will contain fuel liveries to 24 Hours of Le Mans, 24 Hours Moto and the 24 Hours Truck race plus the FIA World Endurance Championship, Asian Le Mans Series and the European Le Mans Series, and will run for 5 years.

The fuel has a huge influence on the racing on track. Fortunately, Shell has been a good partner through their period, but if we look back at the 70’s and the 80’s, it wasn’t unusual that some teams complained about dirty or bad fuel.

Total is a world wide company, which also is known for the Elf brand.

The French company has knowledge from Formula 1, WTCC and the Dakar Rally among others, and has been a partner of Aston Martin Racing in the FIA WEC for the last two seasons.
