ADAC GT Masters has announced their 2018 calendar.
The calendar looks very similar to previous years, but there is one very significant change.
ADAC GT Masters and DTM have met for a Super weeekend of racing at Lausitzring, where both classes showcased the best of touring car and GT racing, but that won’t happen in 2018.
Instead we will see the GT3 cars going to Most in the Czech Republic, only a few kilometres from the German/Czech border and around 80 kilometres north west of Prague. The track has undergone renovations and just recently got a upgraded pit building and completely tarmac on the circuit. That will be the 13th different track for the series to visit, since its inaugural season in 2007.
Oschersleben has hosted the opening round ever since 2008, and so it will be again in 2018. The season finale will once again be run at Hockenheim – just like every year since 2011.
The other foreign races of the season will go to Red Bull Ring in Austria and Zandvoort in the Netherlands. On top of that, the home circuits at Nürburgring and Sachsenring will visited in Germany.
The first teams have already shown their intentions to race in the upcoming season. Land Motorsport will return with two Audi R8 LMS cars, but two new teams will be on track too. Team Rosberg will enter a Lamborghini Huracan GT3 while PS Profil will show up with a Porsche 911 GT3 R.
