Kevin Estre has put one of his 2017 helmets on auction on eBay, where the full proceeds will to towards the charity organisation ‘Du Sport et Plus’. The organisation supports children in hospitals, by buying things like toys, books, games and equipment. They furthermore organize special event and tours for sporting events.
Kevin Estre says: “Its aim is to improve the daily life of hospitalised children. To give it an even more exclusive character, this helmet with which I won two races at the Nürburgring bears copies of dedications from several children. I would like to thank you in advance for taking part in the auction and wish you, as well as all the hospitalised children, happy festive season!”
Other than the two victories in VLN at the Nürburgring, the helmet was used for another VLN round, at the Bathurst 12 Hours, Spa 24 Hours and the Blancpain Sprint race in Budapest.
The helmet has a value of 4500 Euro, and is of the latest and highest safety standard, and can be used in everything from national racing up to and including Formula 1 – or FIA WEC. The model is an Arai GP-6RC.
