Makowiecki and Rossiter testing for Techeetah

Fred Makowiecki and James Rossiter will have the opportunity for an official test in FIA Formula E Championship, when the rookie test is run in Marrakesh on January 14th.

The two drivers are going to test for the Techeetah team.

Rossiter was already testing in October but didn’t get a racing seat for this season. Now he will get another test for the team with their roots in China, but a Renault e.dams drive train in the back of the car.

Fred Makowiecki hasn’t been racing a single seater since 2010, but he has been focusing on the GT sport for Aston Martin and currently Porsche, which he will race for during the 2018 season too. Porsche already has a connection to the Techeetah team with Andre Lotterer racing for them through the 2017/18 season.

The rookie test are for drivers who haven’t raced in a Formula E race previously – the electric equivalent to the Young Driver Formula 1 test being run in Abu Dhabi each year after the season finale
