Bachler and de Leener returns with Porsche

Klaus Bachler and Adrien de Leener will also be driving a Porsche 911 GT3 R in the ADAC GT Masters this year.

Bachler will, however, be stepping through a different door this season, since he will be sharing the #18 entered by the KÜS Team75 Bernhard.

De Leener was a full season driver of the #18 during 2017, where he raced with Christopher Friedrich. The team, which is owned by triple Le Mans winner Timo Bernhard, has chosen to upgrade to Klaus Bachler for this upcoming season. Bachler has one previous weekend with the team during the 2016 season, where he raced the two rounds at Sachsenring.

Bernhard and Bachler know each other very well, since Bachler is a former Porsche Junior driver, where he raced two full seasons in the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup, followed by a few seasons in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Bachler drove for Schütz Motorsport in the ADAC GT Masters 2017 season, so he knows just as many of the tracks as his competitors and teammate.

Adrien de Leener had a difficult rookie season, where his best finish was a P12 at Sachsenring. Prior to racing a Porsche in 2017, he had also driven Ferrari, Maserati and Audi cars. Bachler will hopefully help the Belgian driver collecting trophies and plenty of points through 2018.

As previously announced, KÜS Team75 Bernhard #17 will be somewhat of an all-start car, with team owner Timo Bernhard being joined by Kevin Estre.

The ADAC GT Masters have their first race weekend on 13-15 April in Oschersleben.
