Young Brit new Phoenix driver

Phoenix Racing is announcing their ADAC GT Masters 2018 line-up bit by bit.

Oscar Tunjo was announced between Christmas and New Year as the first of four driver, and Brit Philip Ellis was announced today as the second of their total of four drivers.

Ellis has two seasons of the Audi Sport TT Cup in his baggage, winning the 2017 title with a big margin, after taking 5 wins and a total of 11 podiums in 13 races.

Philip Ellis was a part of the winning Phoenix Racing team at the Dubai 24 Hours race, in the GT4 category. They had entered one of the latest Audi R8 LMS GT4 cars.

It will of course be one of the Audi R8 LMS race cars in GT3 trim for the ADAC GT Masters.

The driver combinations are not yet published by Phoenix Racing, so if the two young drivers will be joined by two experienced Audi drivers, or if it will be a pure Young driver line-up from the team, with the base right next to the Nürburgring, will be announced in due course.

The official test days ahead of the ADAC GT Masters season will be run on 26-28 March at Oschersleben, two weeks prior to the first race weekend at the same track.
