Paul di Resta will have two more races in the USA to do, after participating at the Daytona 24 Hours three weeks ago.
It will once again be for United Autosports, who will run the fast Scotsman at the 12 Hours of Sebring at 6 Hours of Watkins Glen. Opposite to the Daytona race, the team will only enter one car, so he will pair up with Phil Hanson and Bruno Senna.
These two rounds count towards the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup, just like the Daytona race did.
In fact, there is fourth round as well, the 10 Hours of Petit Le Mans, but that race clashes with the season finale in DTM at Hockenheim, and since that is the farewell race from Mercedes, di Resta is unlikely to miss that round. On top of that, Bruno Senna will be on FIA WEC duties for Rebellion Racing at Fuji that weekend, so currently only Phil Hanson can race at Petit Le Mans. The team might skip that round, if they have no chance for the Championship, but officially they have written in their press release, that the teammates of Hanson will be announced in due course.
United Autosports participates in the European Le Mans Series too, and currently there a no driver next to Hanson, since his regular co-driver Filipe Albuerquerque will be racing in the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at Long Beach on that weekend. They also need two more drivers for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June. So Paul di Resta will probably end up with a few more races for the team, than already announced at this stage.
IMSA is testing on 22-23 February at Sebring, and Phil Hanson, Bruno Senna and Paul di Resta will be present at that test too, in the blue, red and white Ligier JS P217 Gibson.
The 12 Hours of Sebring is run on 17 March.
