Paul di Resta confirmed for Le Mans

Exactly as expected, United Autosports has announced that Paul di Resta will be driving the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the team.

The 31 year-old Scottish racing driver has already participated in the Daytona 24 Hours and 12 Hours of Sebring, and will now take on the French classic.

Di Resta will be a part of the Ligier JS P217 Gibson #22 together with Filipe Albuerquerque and Phil Hanson. He has already raced together with Hanson at Sebring, while Albuerquerquer hasn’t shared the car with any of the drivers yet so far during races, since he has a contract with the Action Express team in the IMSA series.

So that makes all six seats taken for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Car #32 will have Hugo de Sadeleer, Will Owen and Juan Pablo Montoya.

The 2018 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans will be run on 16-17 June.
