APR Rebellion Racing has made a slight adjustment to the driver line-up in the upcoming European Le Mans Series season.
The team previously announced Thomas Laurent, Harrison Newey and Ryan Cullen as the drivers in the ORECA 07 Gibson #31 , but Laurent has been taken out of the car and replaced by Gustavo Menezes.
Menezes is already a part of the Rebellion Racing team, with their FIA WEC LMP1 programme, but he gets the chance to double up. Laurent will be focusing on the LMP1 only for the FIA WEC Super Season.
The APR part is Algarve Pro Racing, who has already entered a Ligier JS P217 Gibson #25 under their own name.
So the team will be running two different car models in the same team, just like M.Racing – YMR did in the 2017 LMP3 season.
APR Rebellion Racing and the other 40 ELMS cars will be on the circuit for the first time, in just over one week’s time, when the Prologue is run at Paul Ricard, ahead of their first race weekend, at the same circuit, later in that week.
