Sylvest ready for third season in the ADAC GT Masters

Nicolai Sylvest is finally ready for his third season in the ADAC GT Masters.

The 20 year-old racing driver has been working hard on securing sponsors to be able to drive ones again in the German GT series.

He was invited for the official test day for all the teams at Oschersleben two weeks ago, where Team Zakspeed wanted to him to test the car. He has been racing for Zakspeed for the previous two years as well.

The test went beyond expectations, and Sylvest actually ended up posting the fastest lap of all the drivers during the test. That gave the last bit of boost for the contract negotiations, which finally was closed with thanks to his own and the team sponsors.

The official name for the team will be Team Zakspeed BKK Mobil Oil Racing, and it will once again be a Mercedes Benz AMG GT3 as the chosen weapon.

He will team up with Kim-Luis Schramm. Schramm has raced in the ADAC Formula 4 Championship, so he knows the majority of the tracks already. It’s only the Czech circuit Most that will be new to both Sylvst and Schramm, but so it will be for the rest of the field. Schramm finished 8th in last years F4 Championship.

The ADAC GT Masters season starts this weekend at Oschersleben, where they will have one race Saturday and one race Sunday.

Both races can be followed on ADAC-Motorsport.de, where they will be live-streamed with both German and English commentators, whichever you prefer.
