Corvette Racing has their drivers ready for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
And there is no surprise regarding the names of the 6 drivers.
It is going to be exactly the same line-up as in Daytona 24 Hours in January and Sebring 12 Hours in March.
Jan Magnussen, Antonio Garcia and Mike Rockenfeller will share the Corvette C7.R #63 while Tommy Milner, Oliver Gavin and Marcel Fässler will drive the #64.
It will be the first start for Rockenfeller at Le Mans for Corvette Racing, but he has already participated in the race 8 previous times for Audi and Porsche GT, where he has won the race in 2005 and 2010, as well as standing on the podium in 2012.
Fässler will be driving his third Le Mans for the team, but he still hasn’t been on the podium for the outfit. But he has got plenty of podiums and victories at Audi Sport, having won the race overall three times, and plenty more podiums on his CV.
Magnussen and Garcia have three victories each, with one of Garcia’s victories being with Aston Martin Racing in 2008. Milner has won the race twice, while Gavin has won the race a total of five times, in a mix of GTS, GT1 and GTE Pro. Corvette Racing took their latest victory in 2015 with Gavin, Milner and Jordan Taylor.
The test day ahead of this years race will be run on 3 June, while the 24 hours race will be run on 16-17 June.
