Ma Qing Hua will return behind the wheel in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.
The Chinese driver has participated in 7 Formula E races so far, and when the series goes to Paris next week, he will once again be in a car.
The 30 year-old Chinese driver will race for the NIO Formula E team. He has been a test- and reserve driver for the team since the summer 2017.
He will replace Luca Filippi in car #68, but the team hasn’t given any information about the change. However it’s no secret that Filippi’s season has been very poor compared to his teammate Oliver Turvey. Turvey was on the podium in Mexico earlier this year, while Filippi only once has been sniffing round top-10 in Hong Kong, and has been far from the points ever since. He has received Fan Boost three times out of seven rounds this season, while Turvey took his podium without the aid of the extra power.
Five rounds are remaining in this ABB FIA Formula Championship season, but Ma Qing Hua has only been booked for the round in Paris so far.
