The Indy 500 starting grid is set

Tony Kanaan was the fastest driver outside the Fast 9, in the qualifying session today for the Indy 500. The A. J. Foyt Racing driver beat his young teammate Matheus Leist and Marco Andretti in the fight for 10th starting position. Zachary Claman De Melo took a big jump up the grid compared to yesterday’s Bump Day, and will be starting the race from 13th. Best race of the weekend in Race 3

It was perfect sunshine for the third race of the weekend in the ADAC Formula 4 was run at the Lausitzring. Joey Alders started from Pole Position ahead of David Schumacher and Enzo Fittipaldi. The winners from yesterday, Liam Lawson and Lirim Zendeli, were starting from 7th and 8th respectively. Bentley-boy goes into retirement

Another Bentley-boy has decided to go into retirement. 43 year-old Guy Smith has opted to end his professional career at Bentley Team M-Sport in their GT3 programme. By doing that, all of the drivers from the 2003 24 Hours of Le Mans winning combination, have now chosen a live where not everything is about racing car – and then still a bit of cars left. Paffett in full control at the Lausitzring

The fourth DTM race of the race was run under perfectly blue skies at the Lausitzring. Philipp Eng was on Pole Position ahead of Pascal Wehrlein and Gary Paffett. Marco Wittmann was the next BMW driver in fourth, ahead of Mike Rockenfeller as the best Audi Sport driver in fifth. Highly dramatic day Indy 500 Bump Day

There was drama until the very final minute, when this years Bump Day at the Indianapolis 2018 was run. For the first time in my years, it was an actual Bump Day, where only the 33 fastest drivers would advance to the qualifying tomorrow. There were a total of 35 drivers trying to qualify.
