We are going to see Patricio O’Ward and Colton Herta in the 2019 season of Indycar.
There are two big Indy Lights teams that merge together as a new team.
Harding Racing already dipped their toes in the Indycar pool in the recent years, with an Indy 500 debut in 2017, followed by a full 2018 season. For the season finale last weekend, O’Ward and Herta drove for the team, and there were already rumours about a 2019 contract.
The Steinbrenner part also gives an interesting extra element, since they have a connection with Andretti Autosports. Hence, the team will be able to learn from the big team, that was so close to grab the title with Alexander Rossi.
O’Ward surprised everyone on the Sonoma track last weekend, where the new crowned Indy Lights champion qualified fifth and finished the race in ninth place, while Herta qualified 19th and finished 20th in a difficult race.
The 2019 Indycar season will start on 10 March on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida.
