Gary Paffett has been announced as the first driver for HWA in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.
The British driver knows the team very well, since he has been driving for Mercedes in the DTM ever since 2003, with only 5 of those seasons officially being outside the HWA outfit.

HWA will start in Season 5 in December 2018, before Mercedes-AMG will enter as a works team in the 2019/20 season. During this upcoming 2018/19 season, they will utilize a Venturi driveline, that Mercedes by the way also has some influence on, since it’s being developed in Brixworth in England. Those at the ones who has developed the ERS part of the teams very successful Formula 1 cars.
The second driver of the team will be announced in the near future.
