Jose Maria Lopez has been confirmed as the first driver for Dragon Racing i ABB FIA Formula E Championship 2018/19.
The triple World Touring Car Championship Champion raced in Formula E in the 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons too, for DS Virgin Racing and Dragon Racing respectively. He managed to get on the podium once in his first season, but was struggling with the car during the recently finished season.
Everything will start from scratch this year, since all teams will go to the new Gen-2 car, plus the team has to develop their own drive line even further.
Other than the Formula E programme, we will also have the Argentinian continuing to race in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Toyota Gazoo Racing. He still hasn’t grabbed his first win, but have been on the podium four times, including a second place at Le Mans 2018.
Dragon Racing will announce their second driver in the near future.
