Maximilian Günther has finally been confirmed at GEOX Dragon Racing in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.
The 21 year-old German participated in the pre-season testing in Valencia a month ago, and he did that alongside Jose Maria Lopez, who was already confirmed before the test days.
Günther hasn’t yet won a Championship in car racing, but has a bunch of second places in series like the ADAC Formula Masters and the FIA Formula 3 European Championship.
He has raced in the FIA Formula 2 Championship in 2018, where he’s shown great speed, but were incredibly unlucky with collisions, lose tires after pitstops and a lot of other troubles. So he has only been on the podium twice this year – but that was a second place and a win.
The ABB FIA Formula E Championship 2018/19 starts on 15 December in Saudi Arabia.
