Ekström scales down in World RX

The 2018 finale in the FIA World Rallycross Championship had barely been run, before Mattias Ekström had an announcement. The 40 year-old Swede has chosen to limit his own outings in the World RX  Series, so he no longer  races on full time. The FIA World Rallycross Championship delivered a great season finale in South Africa near Cape Town, at the Killarney International Raceway. While Johan Kristoffersson had already been crowed World Champion, there was still a battle between Mattias Ekström, Andreas Bakkerud, Petter Solberg and Sebastien Loeb for second place. Fantastic opening to the season

Asian Le Mans Series 2018/19 got the season started in China at Shanghai International Circuit with the Agile 4 Hours of Shanghai. The race was started 9.30 local time, and even though the sun was on its way, there was heavy fog until shortly before the start of the race. That meant the asphalt was slightly damp, but all teams still opted for dry weather slicks, since it wasn’t really wet.
