Juncos Racing has announced two of the four drivers for the Daytona 24 Hours in January 2019.
Kyle Kaiser and Will Owen will share the white and green Cadillac DPi-V.R #50 at the opening round of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.
Kaiser has raced for the team since 2014, where he started in Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires, and continued for the team in Indy Lights in 2015 and 2016, before winning the Championship in 2017. The natural advancement was Indycar in 2018, where he did four race weekends, including the Indy 500. This will be the first sportscar race for Kaiser.
Owen is a well known face at Juncos Racing too, even though he hasn’t raced for them since 2016. He did two seasons in Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires in 2015 and 2016, before travelling to Europe for the European Le Mans Series, racing for United Autosports. He made his debut in LMP3, before moving into LMP2. He was actually close at finishing up on the podium in his LMP2 debut, which happened at Daytona earlier this year, when he finished fourth with Hugo de Sadeleer and Paul Di Resta.
Opposite to Kaiser, Owen will do the full IMSA season for the team.
Modsat Kaiser, skal Owen køre hele IMSA sæsonen for Juncos Racing.
Juncos Racing will be on the track against all the opposition for the first time on 4-6 January, when The ROAR Before The Rolex 24 test will be run at Daytona International Speedway.
