Agustin Canapino will be the fourth and final Juncos Racing driver at the Rolex 24 at Daytona.
The 28 year-old Argentinian from Buenos Aires has a whole host of Champions in his bag, with 12 wins over the last 11 years, including the Super TC2000 Championship in 2016. In 2018 alone, he has driven 44 races.
He already has connections to Chevrolet in his home country, where several of the championships were won with the classic bow tie on the hood.
He is only mentioned as a driver for the 24 hours race at Daytona. That leaves Will Owen as the only full season driver for now. It will be interesting to follow, if either Canapino, Kyle Kaiser or Rene Binder – or perhaps a fourth different driver will get the spot at Sebring and for the rest of the season.
The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season starts early January with the ROAR before the 24, before the Daytona 24 Hours race runs in the final weekend of January.
