Rene Binder has chosen to do some racing in Europe once again.
The 26 year-old Austrian has lately been looking towards the USA, where he raced in the Indycar series for Juncos Racing. He will race for that outfit, too, at the Rolex 24 at Daytona this coming January, but no Indycar programme has been confirmed for him yet.
He has signed with the French outfit, Panis Barthez Competition, where he will be one of the drivers in their 2019 European Le Mans Series programme.
Binder has been racing for ByKolles Racing Team in the FIA World Endurance Championship, and before that, raced in the World Series by Renault, under their various names during the years.
Rene Binder’s 2019 deal will Juncos Racing in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is the four MEC rounds at Daytona, Sebring, Watkins Glen and Petit Le Mans.
The European Le Mans Series season 2019 starts with the testing on 8-9 april at Paul Ricard in the south of France, with the first race weekend being run five days later, at the same venue.
