Richard Heistand will be the fourth and final full season driver at AIM Vasser Sullivan in the upcoming IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.
38 year-old Heistand has raced single-seaters in the past, participating in series like Star Mazda and Champ Car Atlantic. He has taken a break for the last few seasons, but slowly got back into racing in 2018, doing the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland and Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.
Now is the time for him to jump into the Lexus RC F GT3 #14 fielded by AVS, where he will team up with Jack Hawksworth.
Frankie Montecalvo and Townsend was announced in the other car about a month ago. They have been handed the car #12. The number 12 has a special connection to team owner Jimmy Vasser, who won the Champ Car Championship in 1996 with that particular car number.

The four drivers have already been out testing for the first time, doing a tire test for Michelin.
Their next outing will be on 4-6 January, during the ROAR Before the 24 test, which will be run at Daytona International Speedway.
But prior to that, we will have the drivers for the endurance rounds announced.
