TEAM SUZUKI ECSTAR revealed their new GSX-RR for the 2019 MotoGP season, rather than revealing their new machine in a physical capacity, they chose to do so in virtual form, Youtube and the TEAM SUZUKI ECSTAR website being the chosen outlets. Fans of Suzuki’s and MotoGP alike praised the bike for its beauty and very tasteful paintwork design. Managing to lay sponsors all over the bike in contemporary format, but still managing to keep the bike looking clean of clutter and clashing portfolios.
As well as the new motorcycle, Álex Rins also presented a new look, with a hairstyle that echos of the late Marco Simoncelli. Both Joan Mir and Rins are potentially the dark horses of the 2019 season, with Suzuki having strong results last season, headed mostly by Álex Rins, Joan Mir steps into a relatively pressure free environment. Nobody expects him to get the better of Álex in his first season, and if he manages to do it, it will only reflect more favourably.
2019 could be the start of a golden era for Suzuki. With a stunning bike, arguably the best bike we’ve seen so far, if they have a package to match the aesthetically prowess they are surely a force to be reckoned with, and I don’t think it’s out of the question to suggest that they will win a race or two this coming season.
