Charlie Kimball will have a limited 2019 programme in the NTT IndyCar Series.
The American will once again race for Carlin in car #23.
It won’t be a full season, since he has had a hard time finding the sponsor backing. Instead he will race 5 selected race during the 17-race schedule.
Kimball has chosen to start the season alongside the other drivers on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida, while Indy 500 will be his next task. Texas Motor Speedway in June will be his third race of the year, followed by Pocono in August.
He finishes off the season with all the colleagues at the Indycar season finale at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.
Charlie Kimball is a bit of a novelty as a racing driver, since he has diabetes. His participation in motorsport in down to strong support from his main sponsor, Novo Nordisk.
Teammate Max Chilton has already confirmed that he will do a full season for the Carlin team.
