BWT Mücke Motorsport are doing upgrades ahead of the ADAC GT Masters 2019 season.
There is a smaller update on the driver line-up, but primarily on the three cars, that the team enters.
All their Audi R8 LMS cars will have the brand new Evo kit from Audi Sport, so the cars will have a bit more performance, and a bit better cooling on warm days.
Just like last season, the team will run two pink BWT cars and a single orange kfzteile24 car.
The orange #24 will be driven by Markus Winkelhock and Mike David Ortmann. The two were already teammates in 2018, where they grabbed a single overall podium position.
#25 will have Christopher Haase and Jeffrey Schmidt behind the wheel. Both drivers raced for the team last year too, but Schmidt moved over from #26 to #25, while Haase will stay in the same seat. The two were already teammates back in 2017, where they shared one of the Montaplast by Land-Motorsport Audi’s. They managed to be on the podium three times during that season. Schmidt won one race in 2018 and took one more podium position, while Haase didn’t has so much luck last year.
Stefan Mücke, the son of team boss Peter Mücke, will share #26 with Nikolaj Rogivue, who is the only new driver in the squad. Rogivue raced for Aust Motorsport last year, in their Audi R8 LMS, but has a history at Team Zakspeed and their Mercedes as well. This season will be important for the Swiss driver with Swedish family, since he is fast, but doesn’t have some really good race results on his CV during the last few seasons.
The team has said goodbye to Ricardo Feller, who has moved to Montaplast by Land-Motorsport.
The ADAC GT Masters starts on 25-26 April in Oschersleben.
