Christina Nielsen will get three more races on her 2019 schedule, which has had a lot of blank spaces so far.
The rapid Dane was called in as reserve at Heinricher Racing with Meyer Shank Racing Acura #57 at the 24 Hours of Daytona in January, since Jackie Heinricher unfortunately had a back injury, which couldn’t heal before the race.
The collaboration with the team went so well, since they have signed her up for the three remaining Michelin Endurance Cup, which is the 12 Hours of Sebring, 6 Hours of Watkins Glen, and the 10 Hours of Road Atlanta – Petit Le Mans.
Nielsen is double IMSA Champion in the GTD category, which the Acura NSX GT3 car races in too.
There are no news about Heinricher herself. Sebring isn’t a race that you enter, if you have a bit of troubles with your back. The uneven track shakes and rattles everything, so it’s still uncertain who Katherine Legge and Christina Nielsen will have as teammate.
The 67th edition of the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring Presented by Advance Auto Part will be run on 16 March 2019.
