Graff loses Pole Position

Graff #39 has lost Pole Position for this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The French team had taken first position with Vincent Capilliare, with the Frenchman doing the perfect lap.

We don’t know if he was too busy celebrating all the way into the pits, or if there were other reasons for him not stopping – but he certainly went past the weight bridge, even though officials were standing and waiving at him. The weight is located in a tent at the pit entry, and has very good signage, but he still managed to miss the call.

When you obey official instructions and drive past the weight bridge, you lose all times in the session until that point – and therefore their Pole time.

So that sends TDS Racing #28 with Loic Duval onto Pole Position in the LMP2 category – another French team.

There weren’t any other penalties resulting in changes of the grid order, but a lot of reprimands for not slowing down fast enough into Slow Zones and during Full Course Yellow.
