DS Techeetah has announced a new their second driver, next to the now double ABB FIA Formula E Champion, Jean-Eric Vergne.
And that is quite a high profile name.
Antonio Felix da Costa has signed a multi-year deal with the Chinese team, with the French drive train, having run 54 Formula E races to date. He didn’t participate in the opening round of the series, but has only missed two rounds ever since.
He has been with Amlin Aguri, turning into Andretti, turning into BMW Andretti for all the seasons, but that collaboration was terminated not that long ago.
Felix da Costa has won two Formula E races to far, and has 7 Pole Position sin the electric category.
The Portuguese driver replaces Andre Lotterer, who will be racing in the Porsche works team.
Antonio Felix da Costa will run car number 13, while Jean-Eric Vergne sticks to his #25, which he has won two titles with so far.
The ABB FIA Formula E Championship 2019/20 starts on 22-23 November in Saudi Arabia.
