Müller new Dragon driver

GEOX Dragon has announced that Nico Müller will be the new driver for the team.

The American team with base in Silverstone, England, has grabbed up the Audi Sport works driver, to race the second car of the team next to Brendon Hartley.

The team will run their own Penske EV-4 drive train, and will be fighting directly against Audi, which run their own team with Lucas Di Grassi and Daniel Abt.

Rumours instantly started rolling regarding Müller – was he dropped by Audi Sport, after he definitely lost out to Rene Rast in the DTM Championship?

But no – Müller made a statement shortly thereafter, that he still has an Audi Sport DTM drive 2020.

That makes a double switch at GEOX Dragon. Neither Jose Maria Lopez or Maximilian Günther, nor Felipe Nasr for that matter, returns to the team in the 2019/20 season. Günther has become the new driver at BMW Andretti, while Lopez probably only will be driving in the FIA WEC for Toyota. Nasr continues racing in the IMSA sportscar series in the USA.

The ABB FIA Formula E Championship 2019/20 starts on 22-23 November 2019 in Ad Diriyah.
