MSR with power pairing

Meyer Shank Racing have announced their first driver pairing for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship 2020.

And it’s quite a power pairing in the Acura NSX GT3 Evo #86.

The newly crowned GTD champions will keep Mario Farnbacher onboard, while they have signed Matt McMurry as his new teammate. That will be the third season for Farnbacher at MSR, where he started out as an endurance driver, until he got a full season seat in 2019 – where he grabbed the title in his first go.

McMurry won the LMP2 Championship in 2019, with the opportunity of grabbing another title, but this time in the GTD category. He raced with MSR back in 2015, where he participated in the Daytona and Road Atlanta races.

We don’t know all the opposition that they will be facing in GTD, but the other teams will really have to step up to beat Farnbacher and McMurry, if they get their  teamwork perfectly matched.

The first testing for the new season will happen very soon, before the first official test sessions will be at Daytona in January 2020.
