Mike Conway will once again help out at Action Express in the Daytona 24 Hours.
The Englishman has raced for Action Express since 2017 – but not in 2019 where he had VISA issues – jumping between Mustang Sampling #5 and Whelen Engineering #31. #5 is no longer part of Action Express, so he will be in #31 alongside Felipe Nasr, Pipo Derani and Filipe Albuquerque.
This is the only IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race confirmed for Conway. He will return to the FIA World Endurance Championship programme for Toyota Gazoo Racing, which is his primary job in 2020.
Toyota has been really good at letting the drivers have a day off for this race, as we saw in 2019 with Fernando Alonso and Kamui Kobayashi winning for Konica Minolta Wayne Taylor Racing, in another Cadillac.
The Daytona 24 Hours 2020 will be run on 25-26 January.
