High Class Racing has announced a change of tire supplier for 2020.
The LMP2 team is currently active in both the FIA World Endurance Championship and European Le Mans Series, where they have been loyal to Dunlop/Goodyear since their journey into sportscar racing.
They have, however, opted to switch to Michelin for the rest of the FIA WEC season, and the upcoming ELMS season.
It is a bit of a strange time to switch from Goodyear to Michelin, since Goodyear will be the sole tire supplier in the FIA WEC from the 2020/21 season, and in the ELMS from 2021 onwards.
One thing won’t change – the drivers.
Anders Fjordbach and Dennis Andersen will once again share a car in the European Le Mans Series, with the two Danes pairing up for their fourth season together in an LMP2 car. The first two seasons were in a Dallara car, before they went for the more popular ORECA version in 2019, buying two cars – one for ELMS and one or the FIA WEC.
The next round of the FIA WEC will be run on 23 February at COTA with Mark Patterson, Kenta Yamashita and Anders Fjordbach behind the wheel, while the ELMS season starts with an official test on 30-31 March in Barcelona, with the first race of the season in the following weekend.
