There will be a few minor changes, when the ABB FIA Formula E Championship 2019/20 will run in Mexico City in 14 days.
The organizers have made some slight tweaks to the circuit, so the lap is a bit longer, and they avoid both chicanes, which caused a lot of issues with collisions and damaged cars over the years.
The new layout will hopefully give a few more opportunities for overtakes, since the old version often only had one racing line, resulting in overtaking only being possible if someone messed up one of the chicanes. The new version will have a few more braking points, challaging the drivers more.
Stoffel Vandoorne at Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E arrives in Mexico as Championship leader, while BMW i Andretti Motorsport leads the teams standings, after winning two out of three races this 2019/20 season.
The fourth round will be run in Mexico City on 15. February.
